Thanksgiving Feast Under $40: Tips and Deals 2

It may not look traditional, but this Thanksgiving meal will fill bellies and make memories.

This year has been heavy for a lot of families. Between shutdowns, delays in SNAP, and grocery prices that feel downright rude, many of us are wondering how we’re going to pull together Thanksgiving without going broke. I want to say this clearly: you deserve a good meal. Tradition does not belong only to those with money.

ALDI — Full Dinner for 10 for About $40

ALDI’s “Feast for 10” is back. You pick up the items yourself, but everything is clearly marked. Turkey, stuffing mix, potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, green beans, cranberry sauce, pie crust, the works. It comes out to about $4 per person, and it tastes like a real Thanksgiving dinner. If ALDI is near you, start here.

Walmart — Meal for 10 Under $40

Walmart offers a similar bundle, and you can order the entire thing online for pickup. If getting to the store feels overwhelming, this is a gift. Butterball turkey (around 13 lbs.), stuffing, rolls, canned veggies, potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie fixings.

Target — Small Dinner Under $20

If your gathering is small this year, Target has a meal for four that runs under $20. Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, bread, and corn. Simple and comforting.

Remember This

Paper plates count. A tiny table counts. Pie from the freezer aisle counts. The whole point is to sit together and eat something warm. You are not failing. You are adapting.

The Annual Thanksgiving Countdown starts this Thursday, November 13th. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a post!
