Fun With Pre K: Flowering Baby

Flowering Baby

Flowering Baby

I recently had the opportunity to explore a new curriculum called Flowering Baby, and it has been such a fun experience for both of us. My girl, Rebekah, has enjoyed the lessons, and even is able to share things she is learning with the rest of the family.

What a proud moment for her, when the entire table listens to her tell about blueberries, and how she helped make the blueberry cobbler they were all enjoying.

The curriculum, as I said,  is called Flowering Baby. I chose the age Three to Four year,  ($38.00, and an instant download). It was just right for my brand new three year old.

What I really liked about it, is that Flowering Baby is complete. Although a gentle learning experience for my daughter, the curriculum covered a wide range of subjects, keeping things interesting for her, yet satisfying my expectations as the teacher.

I appreciate that there is a complete supply list for the month. I was able to search for frozen blueberries and plastic food for instance, both of which were a huge hit and wasn’t I the prepared mommy? :-)

The book list is wonderful as well. As you may have read (Ad Nauseum) on this blog, we are moving to Maine in a couple of weeks. Anything that I can tie into the state of Maine makes me very happy, and relating school to real life is priceless.

Three to Four Years

Three to Four Years

For our Age Three to Four year, we completed January, and learned about all of these things:

Blueberries!

Snowmen/snow

Music

New Year’s Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Goats (we are a dairy goat family farm, so this was fun)

Reasoning

ABC’s

Counting to 5

Healthy foods (which coincidentally matched perfectly with my 4th Grader doing a unit on Healthy Food for Oak Meadow)

And plenty more. What I really like is that I feel this is a complete school program with a gentle but thorough touch for this age. It is satisfying to teach, and still fun for my little one. I highly recommend it.

  1. I’m glad to know of a program that’s nice and gentle for the little kids. I often have people asking for ideas, and I didn’t really have anything I could recommend.

I bet your daughter was really proud of helping make the cobbler. Cooking activities are always so much fun!

  2. I also really liked that it was a complete program. It was so easy to use!
